Daily Yoga Sessions

Hatha Vinyasa

Flow, Focus , Balance

9:30 AM

Vinyasa is an approach to yoga in which you move from one pose directly into the next. There’s a flow to a Vinyasa yoga session, though the specific poses and the pace of the flow vary from one instructor to the next.
You may also hear the term Ashtanga yoga used interchangeably with Vinyasa. While they’re similar in approach, the key difference is that Ashtanga sessions follow the same pattern of poses every time.
Vinyasa, on the other hand, usually moves from one pose to the next at the teacher’s discretion. This transition coordinates with your breathing. It’s done specifically as you exhale or inhale, and it gives you the feeling that your breath is moving your body.

Traditional Hatha yoga & Pranayama

Surrender to Your Mat

6:30 PM

Hatha Yoga stems from a deep understanding of the mechanics of the body, and uses yogic postures, or yogasanas, to enable the system to sustain higher dimensions of energy. By practicing this profound science, one can change and enhance the way they think, feel, and experience life. Hatha Yoga is about creating a body that is not a hurdle in your life. The body becomes a stepping stone in the progress towards blossoming into your ultimate possibility.
We want to take the physical form beyond its present level of limitations. In a way, Hatha Yoga means you want to make your comfort zone universal, instead of the small band that it is right now. Wherever and however you may be, you are at ease. You can naturally achieve a chemistry of health, joy, blissfulness and above all, balance. It is a very powerful way of living. Power, not over somebody else; it’s all about power to access life.

Ashtanga Flow

Strengthening and energizing

4:30 PM

Unit your practice with the strong form of yoga.
Ashtanga means eight limbs or branches, which purpose is to create a union among body, mind, and spirit. But, the eight limbs come from the foundations of yoga philosophy in The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois, his grandson, encourage the practice of Ashtanga Yoga, and that means all eight limbs. The first limb is Yama, and have five moral codes, includes behavioral attitudes and abstentions. These codes allow us to be in harmony with ourselves and in our social interactions with the rest of the world. The second limb of Patanjali’s eight-limbed yoga system contains the five internal practices of Niyama. The practices extend the ethical codes of conduct provided in his first limb, the yamas. system, the union, and practice of this limbs take you to Asanas. After the integration of your mind and spirit of Yama and Niyama codes, there come the third limb of yoga, Asana.

Yoga Nidra

Deep Relaxation

2:30 PM

Yoga Nidra—known as yogic sleep—is a meditation and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. I’ve heard that an hour of yoga nidra can be as restorative as four hours of regular sleep (although I could not find the research to back this up).Benefits of Yoga NidraAside from being relaxing, restorative and restful, studies have shown that yoga nidra can also:
Ease insomniaDecrease anxietyAlleviate stressReduce PTSD, chronic pain and chemical dependencyHeighten awareness and focusTransform negative habits, behaviors and ways of thinkingFoster feelings of peace, calm, and clarity
