Who We Are?

Our Philosophy

We believe yoga is not simply about flexibility or physical postures.

It is a path toward greater awareness.

Through dedicated practice, meditation, conscious living and self-observation, we encourage each student to understand their body, calm the mind and develop a deeper connection with themselves.

“Abhyasa” means consistent practice.
It is through sincere and continuous practice that transformation begins.

Our Approach

Whether you are taking your first yoga class or deepening a practice developed over many years, our programs are designed to meet you where you are.

We welcome beginners, experienced practitioners, yoga teachers and seekers from different backgrounds.

Our programs combine:

Asana · Pranayama · Meditation · Yoga Philosophy · Silence · Self-Inquiry · Sattvic Living

Through yoga, meditation, and quiet reflection, explore a simpler rhythm of life. Whether you are discovering yoga or deepening an existing practice, approach your journey with patience, curiosity, and an open heart.

Our Core Values

Our approach is guided by the spirit of yoga and the commitment to practise with intention.

  • 01 — Sincere Practice
  • We value consistency over perfection.
  • 02 — Awareness
  • We encourage observation of the body, breath, thoughts and emotions.
  • 03 — Simplicity
  • We believe a simpler environment creates more space for inner work.
  • 04 — Tradition
  • We respect the roots and traditional teachings of yoga.
  • 05 — Nature
  • We see nature not simply as scenery, but as part of the practice.

Yoga & Meditation Practice

Move. Breathe. Become aware.

Begin the day with dedicated yoga practice rooted in traditional teachings. Explore asana, pranayama, alignment and mindful movement while developing a deeper awareness of the body and breath.

Mountain Walks

Walk slowly. Breathe deeply. Look around.

Surrounded by forest and the Himalayan foothills, the area around Abhyasa offers opportunities to step away from screens and schedules and reconnect with the natural world.

Organic Gardens

From the earth to your plate.

We grow fresh vegetables around the ashram and value a closer connection between the food we grow, prepare and eat. Seasonal produce becomes part of our simple, nourishing meals.

Traditional Gaushala

Connect with simple, conscious living.

Our Gaushala is an important part of life at Abhyasa Yogmath. Spending time around the cows offers a simple connection to traditional Indian ashram life, care and responsibility.

Waterfall & Nature Experiences

Beyond the yoga hall, we explore the natural landscapes around the ashram through peaceful walks, waterfall hikes and time spent in the forest.

Silence & Reflection

Silence is an important part of many of our programs. Away from constant conversation and distraction, you are invited to observe yourself more deeply and simply be present.
