Transform your personal practice into the foundation of authentic yoga teaching.
Our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Abhyasa Yogmath, Rishikesh is an immersive journey into the study, practice and teaching of yoga. Set amidst the Himalayan foothills and surrounded by nature, this training brings together the wisdom of traditional yoga with practical teaching skills for the modern student. This is not simply a course about performing yoga postures. It is an opportunity to understand why we practice, how we practice, and how to responsibly share yoga with others.
At Abhyasa Yogmath, we believe that a yoga teacher is first a dedicated practitioner.
Our training therefore develops four interconnected dimensions:
01 — TRADITION
Study the roots and philosophical foundations of yoga through the Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga and traditional yogic philosophy.
02 — PRACTICE
Develop a strong personal practice through Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa, Pranayama and Meditation.
03 — ALIGNMENT
Develop a strong personal practice through Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa, Pranayama and Meditation.
04 — UNDERSTANDING
Explore anatomy, physiology, subtle body, Ayurveda and the relationship between body, breath and mind.
